Rotarian Reflection – Nitha Nagubadi

Dr. Nitha Fiona Nagubadi is a Business Psychologist and Entrepreneur, Founder of Mango Networx (Management Consulting), and Ethnic Events (Tech Startup). She is a Chicagoan at heart and born in the UK and raised in the USA. She also grew up in an international world and seeing the journey of contrasts in lifestyles through her visits to her grandparents in India experiencing village life where there was no electricity and water. With her family, she co-founded Vinod Nagubadi Each Life Is Precious, a 501(c)3 organization in memory of her brother, they do service projects in the Chicagoland area and India through this organization.

Her parents who are from Andhra Pradesh India always stressed community service and gave back through projects including establishing a water purification center at their village and establishing a residential school for the hearing impaired in 2006. Her journey with Rotary started in the early 2000s when she heard about Rotarians in Chirala India going to visit the school her parents founded. She’s been active in community service and co-founded Each Life Is Precious in memory of her brother Vinod Nagubadi. She joined Cosmopolitan Rotary in 2013 and then became a member of the Rotary Club of Chicago in 2015, where she’s currently co-chair of the PR and Marketing Committee and on the International and Community Services Committees. Nitha feels that the best part of Rotary is being able to meet so many service-minded people throughout the USA and the world. Through the years on her travels, she visited Rotary Clubs in Mannheim Germany, Lucknow in North India, Guntur South India, and of course her hometown in Valparaiso Indiana. She looks forward to meeting more Rotarians and doing more service locally and internationally including visiting Rotary in her birthplace of Wales in The United Kingdom!
